I performed Rag Desh yesterday in a concert hosted at Bhavan, london.
We, bunch of 11 students learnt this raag in 3 weeks duration from a great teacher, 'Subhra Guha', a leading female vocalist of Agra gharana.
During her lessons, she unfolded the beautiful naunces of Raag desh and raised our awareness with the melody of this legendary raag. Popular Doordarshan (indian public service broadcaster) video - 'Baje Sargam' is based on Raag Desh.
